2xO™ was founded in 2005, however, its mental foundation was conceived in late 2001. It was then that the first prototype was created.

But the idea was bound to stay an idea only.....for the time being. A few key ingredients to its successful launch were still missing:

• the confidence and courage to go your own way, which were acquired through an MBA course,
• the desire to be your own boss had to peak and it did,

• the inspiration and motivation were found through a new born life.

So three and half years later it became apparent that 2xO™ was not just an idea, but an enduring concept ready to be realized. Once the decision was made, prototypes no. 2 to 8 were springing to life and there it was born: 2xO™ - second time around - in so many ways.

The individual is becoming more and more anonymous in our growing world while our world is becoming more and more of a global village. Although this seems to be a contradiction it is nevertheless a fact of life.

Likewise we are turning the beauty of our village into an uninhabitable place with no appreciation for its offers.

It is our declared mission to highlight the individual by providing a handmade quality product, drawing the beauty from the ugly.

At least 75% of each product is made from recycled materials sourced primarily from advertising billboards, car seatbelts and inner tubes. New materials are only used where they add to quality and prolong the life of the product.

It is with this spirit that we will make a difference.

Daniel was born and raised on the outskirts of Hamburg, Germany. He earned a degree and his Master of Law in Kiel and Düsseldorf respectively.

In 1997 his passion for traveling brought him to Sydney, Australia and in 2001 after four years of clocking up frequent flyer points, he decided to call Sydney home.

Although this move didn't allow Daniel to work in the field he knew best, he realized that Australia was a place that had much more to offer.

The ongoing desire of becoming his own boss reached a peak, studying for his MBA brought the tools necessary to gain confidence and courage, and the inspiration to action these lingering ideas was found through a new born life.

Christina was born and raised in the United States of America and inherited her parents' travel gene which took her to Sydney, Australia in 1988. Here was where an initial 3 month holiday found multiple extensions that led to residency and ultimately to citizenship.

Christina has been developing her career in customer oriented roles for over 15 years in which she gained the skills and sovereignty which are now utilized by 2xO™.

Maia was born in 2005 where she can call Bondi Beach her playground. It seems she has started an early career of inspiring others, as not a day goes past where her father is not astounded by her perspective. This innocent and unwitting influence was and continues to be indispensable.
